Hello Readers,

I will not reveal what days are we observing today but I will give you clues so that you can reach the answer yourself. We are doing this to make reading more interesting and to get your intellectual juices flowing. So here it goes!

Unique sat in front of Santa Paws trying to make him comfortable so that she can see if his ears were clean. Santa Paws hated to get his ears cleaned and would usually throw a fit. He jumped out of Unique’s reach and skittered away to the safety of his kennel. Exasperated, Unique wondered how easy things would have been if Santa had thumbs. She could just explain to Santa how to clean his ears and he would use his opposable thumbs to hold an earbud and clean it himself. Alas! that’s not how things work, so Unique thought of another approach. She went outside and collected all the Peach blossoms that had fallen on the ground. She loved Peach blossoms as it reminded her of her mother. She got the flowers inside and kept them in front of Santa. Santa loved to play with flowers, and it kept him engrossed for Unique to clean his ears. Afterwards, they drove to her mother’s house to meet her. Her mother was so happy to see both of them that she welled up. It was the first time she met her mother after her surgery. Unique was born with a cleft palate meaning her upper lip had a split. Her mother gave her a big kiss and said, “All I want is for you to be happy my child”. Unique and Santa Paws sat down to watch ‘Animal Planet’ after a scrumptious dinner.
