My dear readers

Today's lead news is about an iron age settlement found in Vidarbha, India. Did you know that Maharashtra is, in fact, one of the hubs of archaeology in India? Ajanta and Ellora are both in Maharashtra. When you get the time, please google "petroglyphs of Maharashtra" to unearth a cool historical mystery.

The second story is not so cool, unfortunately. Do read what made this July a record breaking one, and not in a good way.

Page 2 has your favourite Sanskrit, Hindi, and English wisdom. The puzzle corner and the word magic are right there too. Sanskrit talks about the root of all evil and the Hindi muhavara - Aasmaan se tapke, khajoor mein atke, is really a funny way to describe a not so funny situation.

Page 3 has a story in Hindi. This story made me think for 2 days. Do let me know what you think of the story. Page 4 has Priyanka aunty's Study Abroad feature. Today, she answers a very important question - should voluntary work be done?

Page 5 is the Chandamama Fan Club. Page 6 has Sports news from a sport that you rarely read about in India - Volleyball. Time for India to start thinking Volley, methinks. There is a joke by Ishaan Kaila, and a small cartoon by me.

Enjoy the edition!

Love

Nidhi
