A Note on the Debate Competition
I just got out of the online debate competition. We called it National, but that should have been International, because one of our participants logged in from the Middle East!
The jury was well selected - both leaders who understand national and international issues, and who write on these topics routinely in national and international publications.
The kids were the real surprise package - the sharpness of arguments, the way they rattled off numbers and facts, and they convincing way they concluded each argument.
I always feel that the sheer quality of discussions we have with TCP children is something else. Its not something we meet in our regular domain. And today fortified that belief. You had to be in that room to see the sheer brilliance on display there.
Thank you, dear sparks of brilliance. It was a pleasure and a privilege to be in that room with you.

Some Snippets from the Debate:
A. The Chandrashekhar Number (named after an Indian scientist)
B. The International Court of Justice has helped decide 178 cases so far.
C. The UN PKF has had over 1 million serving staff from all over the world.
D. Among the final predictions of Stephen Hawking was a parallel universe where intelligent life exists.
E. If we insist on an investigation now, it will mean conflict and not confluence among the world nations to end Corona. Our focus should be to get rid of Corona together, not place blame. (What a unique perspective)
F. Should we focus on space research in the times of pandemic? (What do you think?)
G. Suppose there is intelligent life in space, and we dissolve the UN, and create a new alliance of all these intelligent planets, what should that alliance be called? (United Aliens Organisation - By Anitej)
Now you know why I cannot get over the brilliance of the morning!
