The Grand finale of The Children’s Post May Invitational
Scrabble was held on Sunday.
The Seniors Match was very closely fought. Neha beat Pooja
413-391.
The game started tamely with Peg being the first word, but
went on to get a total score of 804!
The game had 2 bonus words – Querying and Ungears.
J was used 2 times! Taj, Jar, and Ajar!
The Juniors Match was no less interesting, with Devna (who
had done very well in the April Open as well), beating Neel. Neel’s score at
221 was quite formidable. This is his first tournament.
The other semifinalists were:
Seniors: Aarya, Neelanjana
Juniors: Suhaas, Ariv
The winners will be awarded a small cash prize and a
certificate.
