Hello Readers,

Are you good with pronunciations? Should we put it to test? Alright

let’s start with an easy one – try pronouncing Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. Yes! it is a real word and I did not make it up. It is the name of a little Welsh town in the Great Britain. Prepare to be amazed by the next sentence – It is not the biggest town name. But more on that in the next edition.

Let me help you with the pronunciation – it is pronounced as ‘llan-vire-pooll-guin-gill’. Fun right? Should we make it more exciting? Now let’s try pronouncing the name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll’s train station – Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Do notice there are 4 Ls together in the spelling. Don’t worry I am not going to hang you out to dry (psst: see the meaning below). It is pronounced as ‘llan-vire-pooll-guin-gill-go-ger-u-queern-drob-ooll-llandus-ilio-gogo-goch’.

Keep practising till you can say it really fast. Do send us your voice clip when you have practised enough.

Also celebrating our Tuesday Champions - Akshita & Atharva. Congratulations guys!

Enjoy the edition!
