Friday 3 January 2020

Hello Readers,

We are in the first week of 2020 and hope you all have a wonderful year ahead. May you always stay curious and have a sense of wonder for the world!

So, the leading news is about the bushfire in Australia that continues to rage on. Efforts are on to contain the fire. The next news is about the gold import being at its lowest in the last three years. Clearly, these days all that glitters is not gold!

On page 2, in the Art Series, we have a quiz to see if you remember some of the folk art that we have covered in the past 5 months. We are fortunate to live in a country that is so culturally rich and the folk art holds a special place of honour in our heritage for its craftsmanship and history.
Praneeth educates us about Iran in his column Countries of the World this week.

Page 3 has the Mr Owl giving us a fun fact about the Empire State Building - it actually has its own zip code! We also have Puzzles to Puzzle You, the Quote of the Day, Word Magic on this page to entertain and educate you.

On the last page, we sign of with the Sport's News. The other columns for you are the Artist Corner, Riddles to make you Giggle and Aditya Nema's Cool Comix.

Enjoy the edition!

Warmly,
Priyal
