Capital Expenditure is when we buy something new – like building a new railway line. Operational
Expenditure is what we need to spend just to keep doing our work. For
example, salaries of people who work with the Railways.
Capital Expenditure
सोचो कि आपको एक नयी रेल लाइन बनानी है. उसे बनाने में जो एक बार का खर्चा आएगा, वह Capital Expenditure है. किसी भी चीज़ (asset) को बनाने में जो एकमुश्त खर्च होता है वह Capital Expenditure या Capex कहलाता है.
Operational Expenditure
चलो रेल लाइन बन गयी. अब उसे चलाने का खर्चा? वह हुआ Operational Expense/ OPerational Expenditure / Opex. किसी भी चीज़ को चलाने (operate करने) के खर्च को Opex कहते हैं.
