Hello Readers,

Waste is a huge and growing problem. Even the distant and faraway peak of Mount Everest is not a stranger to this issue. The government of Nepal collected 10 tonnes of waste from Mount Everest in the last month. Out of this only 10% was recyclable.  1% of this was reprocessed into beautiful pieces of art that can be purchased. But this is not enough. We all need to do our bid to find a fresh and viable solution to this problem and secure our future. Think of solutions to the waste problem and write to us. Your suggestions will be featured in the next edition.

In a first, the African Union has come together to sign and promote free trade in a landmark agreement. Read all about this on page 1. Page 2 brings you the second part of the magnificent art in the sky called clouds.

As the schools have reopened after the summer vacation, we bring you ‘Back to School’ themed Crossword on page 3. Revise your knowledge of alphabets with our Mindbender.

Page 4 has sports news from South America. Read a beautiful poem on humility by Jane Taylor. Pratishtha’s sparkly blue flowers are as mesmerizing as her talent. And have a good laugh with Laugh a lot it is.

Enjoy the edition!
