I am the Ocean by Achintya Agarwal

I am the ocean,
I reflect the atmosphere.
I am the ocean,
I cover 71% of the Earth.

I am the ocean,
I am so vast and wide you can see me all the way from space.
I am the ocean,
I am home to between 700,000 and one million different and colorful species.

I am the ocean,
My habitants are dying, polluted by your harmful chemicals.
I am the ocean,
Where different animals used to swim now where plastic bags are set adrift.

I am the ocean,
In my seas between 200 and 2,000 extinctions occur each year.
I am the ocean,
My seas are strong, my waves are fierce.

I am the ocean,
My beauty is deep and my waters are clear.
I am the ocean,
I live in the ice, I live in the air, I live all around you.

I am the ocean,
When sunlight hits my dancing waves you stop and think and have to say;
It would be sad if it all went away.
I am the ocean.
